Science Squad is a once-a-week outdoor experience where kids explore God’s amazing world through experiments, discovery, creativity, and play. Every Thursday brings a brand-new theme filled with messy science, exciting challenges, outdoor exploration, and memory-making fun.

This is not a drop-and-go program. Adult supervision required.
What happens if it rains?
We will communicate weather plans by email. Hopefully the pavillion will be available for us to use if it’s raining.
Do kids need prior science experience?
Not at all! Science Squad is designed for curious kids of all learning levels.
How much does it cost?
Summer Science Squad is $10 per week, per child. This helps cover the cost of experiments, field journals, supplies, and hopefully snacks each week too!

Do I have to register in advanced?
Yes! Please register at least a week in advanced so we have the correct number of supplies.
What should we bring?
Please bring:
- A water bottle
- Clothes that can get messy
- Sunscreen
- A towel for water weeks
- Lots of curiosity!
Do we have to attend every week?
Nope! Families may sign up for individual weeks or join us for the full 10-week adventure.
How long is each session?
Each Science Squad session lasts approximately 60–90 minutes depending on the week’s activities and experiments.
Where are we meeting?
We are meeting at a local park in Camp Hill called Fiala Field (behind Camp Hill UMC, at the end of Princeton Ave.)
There is a small playground and lots of fields the kids can run on after we do our science lessons.
Who is hosting Summer 2026 Science Squad?
The Petersheim family is hosting the Summer 2026 Science Squad. This club was born out of Emmie’s love for science and Jayce’s love of volcanoes. The primary instructor is Wendy Ross a.ka.
